• Individual Therapy Services

I specialize in providing skills-based therapy for neurodivergent clients looking for support with emotional and behavioral regulation and executive functioning. Emotional and behavioral regulation skills can be taught from two similar, yet distinct therapeutic modalities: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Executive functioning skills are taught from a strengths-based approach with in-depth work on specific and measurable goals.

Emotional and behavioral dysregulation and executive dysfunction are frequently identified as the most significant areas of support needed by ADHDers, Autistics, and other neurodiverse individuals. The goal is to provide a safe space for clients to learn and practice easily accessible skills in-session so that they can gain competence and confidence in using skills in everyday life to help them thrive!

    Dialectical Behavioral

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a type of skills-focused talk therapy that is especially effective for people who have difficulty managing and regulating their emotions. Through the use of four interconnected modules, individuals learn the skills necessary to find positive meaning and build a "life worth living".

*When approrpriate to do so, I offer a highly specialized neurodiversity-affirming DBT program that incoperates sensory regulation and managing meltdowns into the traditional DBT structure.

    Cognitive Behavioral

Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of skills-focused talk therapy that helps people understand how thoughts affect emotions and behaviors.

Which specific methods of treatment are applied depends on the presenting concern, however, the basic principle behind therapy is however always the same: What we think, how we feel and how we behave are all closely connected – and all of these factors have a decisive influence on our well-being.

    Executive Functioning

The world often assumes that we are created with an innate understanding of how to plan, organize, prioritize, manage time, maintain focus, self-regulate. But that is just not true for many people!

Executive Functioning support focuses on improving the skills that you need to function in your daily life activities, as well as the skills required to reach your goals. While daily life demands differ depending on your age, the skills to reach your goals are the same: planning, organizing, following through and completing tasks.
