Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am not in network with any insurance companies for testing or therapy services. My goal is to provide you with services that are comprehensive, timely, and affordable. I don't want decisions about you or your child's evaluation / therapy made by an insurance executive. I want decisions about you or your child's care to be made by you and me.
My policy for testing and therapy is that payment should be made at the time of services provided. If you are interested in seeking reimbursement for some of your testing or therapy expsnese, I will be happy to provide a detailed invoice and proof payment has been submitted (also known as a superbill). I do not submit any insurance forms directly to insurance companies.
What are your fees?
Fees for 45 to 50 minute appointments is $300. For couples and families, a 80 minute session is available for $375.
The fee for an evaluation can depend on the type and amount of testing that is required. Please feel free to inquire about the fees associated with various assessments.
What is your cancellation policy?
Psychological testing is time consuming and requires us to dedicate large blocks of time to complete testing. Consequently, Outside the Lines charges a Late Cancellation and No-Show fee equal to $200 for time scheduled for appointments. Clients will not be charged for any appointments that are canceled at least 48 hours (2 full days) in advance or if their appointment time can be filled by another client.
What is the No Suprise Act (NSA) and how does it imapct me?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
